Around 250 million people worldwide suffer from tinnitus. And many people with hearing loss experience tinnitus at some stage.
There are certainly factors which can exacerbate tinnitus such as: stress, anxiety, depression, tiredness, some medications and there is some weaker evidence that some aspects of a person’s diet can also have an impact.
As tinnitus itself can lead to anxiety, stress and sleep deprivation, this can create the feeling of being trapped in a vicious cycle.
